Ice cream innovation – August/​September 2009

New Forest Ice Cream has launched a Key Lime Pie variant to capture the spirit of the Florida Keys. A lime curd sauce and crunchy shortcake biscuit pieces complement the full-​fat Jersey milk and double cream ice cream.

Tip Top has launched a banana chocolate vanilla low-​fat ice cream featuring Sid the Sloth from ‘Ice Age’.

Blue Bell Creameries has created a sweet coffee ice cream called Café con Leche for south Florida.

Blue Bell Creameries marked America’s National Ice Cream Month in July by introducing Groom’s Cake Ice Cream.

Another release from Blue Bell for July’s National Ice Cream Month in America was Nutty Chocolate Ice Cream. The new flavour is loaded with chocolate-​coated pecans, peanuts, almonds and roasted walnuts.
