Marks & Spencer opts for ring-​pull closures

Bapco Closures and the RPC Group have worked with G’s Marketing to create the new packaging for M&S, which is 80% lighter and features a ring-​pull closure. Bapco’s patented BAP Technology is being unveiled in the UK for the first time with M&S, following multiple successes in the US and Canada over the past two years.

Because there's no vacuum holding the over-cap in place, it can be removed easily, while an easy-grip spiral ring-pull mechanism means that the force required to open the foil closure isn't notably reduced.
Marks & Spencer commissioned 18 products from G's, all packaged in the RPC jar. The jar offers a higher resistance to shattering than glass for enhanced consumer safety, while its comfortable handling helps to assist Marks & Spencer's commitment to 'frust
