Twice winner of the Champion beer of Britain, Wainwright beer is fast becoming the flagship ale for Daniel Thwaites and is known for its light colour and soft fruit flavours.
To coincide with National Outdoors Week in March, Thwaites Wainwright will be inviting walkers to take part in over 100 walks throughout England and Wales between Friday 12 March and Saturday 13 June.
People who participate in the walking campaign will be invited to join in with a competition to find a golden Wainwright bottle worth £3,000 along with a number of runners up prizes. The promotion falls over National Outdoors Week, National Cask Ale Week, Easter and the May Bank holiday.
Thwaites Wainwright
Thwaites’ Wainwright beer takes its name from Alfred Wainwright, a true inspiration to all fell walkers throughout the UK due to his passion and enthusiasm for the Lakeland fells. Born in Blackburn, the home town of Daniel Thwaites Brewery, Alfred Wainwright became a household name thanks to his hand drawn pictorial guides which were made into the BBC TV series, Wainwright Walks and more recently his famous Coast to Coast route, walked and presented by Julia Bradbury.
