Amplify Snack Brands has extended its SkinnyPop Popcorn brand offering, with the launch of new microwaveable popcorn and popcorn cakes.
The new products will roll out across the US this month, and will give consumers ‘new ways to enjoy’ SkinnyPop’s range of better-for-you products, the brand said.
The extensions include SkinnyPop popcorn cakes, popcorn mini cakes and microwave popcorn.
New SkinnyPop microwave popcorn is available in sea salt and butter flavours. They are packaged in individually portioned pop-up boxes that can be heated in the microwave without any mess for an easy and guilt-free snack.
The popcorn mini cakes are ideal for on-the-go snacking in three different flavours: sea salt, cinnamon and sugar, and sharp cheddar. They’re a smaller version of SkinnyPop’s new individually portioned popcorn cakes, which are available in sea salt, maple brown sugar and white cheddar flavours.

In particular, the two different lines of popcorn cakes will add extra interest and flavour to the rice cake category while appealing to a number of on-trend demands – including easy-to-pronounce ingredient lists, gluten-free, and non-GMO and whole grain certifications.
