Belvita is expanding its soft bakes breakfast range with the introduction of two new variants: strawberry and chocolate hazelnut.
Available in the UK from late August, the soft and chewy baked biscuits are made from five wholegrains, including crushed buckwheat and oat flakes.
The range expansion will be supported by a £2 million marketing campaign, including sampling, TV advertising and in-store activation.
Belvita senior brand manager Daniel Kessler said: “Eating habits are evolving due to a number of global mega trends, such as time restrictions in the working day. We offer a product range that fits in with everyday life and helps consumers to experience good mornings.
“In testing, we found that consumers loved the taste and more than 50% of product testers indicated that they would buy this in addition to the breakfast/snack item that they currently buy.
“We believe that this launch will reach new consumers with a new breakfast occasion and help them avoid skipping breakfast.”
Both flavours are available in packs of five with a recommended retail price of £2.79.
