Ice cream brand Ben & Jerry’s has launched a new addition to its Save Our Swirled lineup, available to retailers from October.
Featuring “a delicious bed of raspberry ice cream with rivers of marshmallow and raspberry-blackberry swirls and chocolatey cone pieces”, the new product is the brand’s latest contribution to its Save Our Swirled campaign, which was launched to inspire consumers across the globe to demand action on climate change.
Ben & Jerry’s will back a petition calling for world leaders to transition to clean energy ahead of this year’s Paris climate summit, and the new variant will launch with a recommended retail price of £4.99 per tub.
The brand will raise awareness of its overarching climate campaign in store as it continues to dramatically reduce its carbon footprint and set an industrial example in reducing its impact on the planet.
Ben & Jerry’s social mission manager Ed Shepherd said: “Ben & Jerry’s has a rich heritage of campaigning for climate change, and through launching Save Our Swirled we hope to encourage our fans to join us in calling on leaders around the world to support the transition to 100% clean energy.
“Save Our Swirled offers consumers an exciting and unique flavour that can be enjoyed as a tasty treat this winter.”
