UK-based food company Binghams has launched new potted pulled pork into 130 Morrisons stores across Yorkshire, the North East and the Midlands.
The new product keeps true to the brand’s values by supporting British farmers and only using British-sourced pork. Prime British pork shoulder is used in the recipe, which is slowly cooked and then pulled into strips.
Binghams managing director Peter Moon said: “2015 has seen an incredible amount of media and chef focus on pulled meats and it made sense to apply this trend to our innovation and that’s how our potted pulled pork came about.
“Binghams is well-known and loved across the North and Midlands and our customers are incredibly loyal to the brand – it is fantastic that Morrisons are supporting a local Yorkshire brand and launching our new product into their stores.
“We are looking forward to working in partnership with Morrisons and will do everything that we can to make this activity a success for both Morrisons and Binghams!”
It is hoped that the new product will appeal not only to existing customers who enjoy the traditional taste of Bingham’s British potted beef, but also attract younger families to the brand.
“We might be a brand with 100 years of heritage but there’s plenty of life and vitality in us,” Moon continued. “This is just the start of further activity we have planned for 2016.”
