Confectionery manufacturer Bon Bon Buddies has expanded its own-brand Brain Blasterz confectionery range with the addition of four new sour products.
The new products – available from 3 October – include a surprise egg filled with sour candy and surprises, a collectable Sour Brainz mini tin packed with sour candy, an Oozing Brain Gum in a brain dispenser, and a collectable hard candy coin bank consisting of seven fruit flavours and triple the amount of sweets found in standard Hard Candy tubs.
The 10g eggs have a recommended retail price of £0.89, while the Sour Brainz mini tins and brain gum will retail for £1 and the hard candy coin bank for £2.69.
Bon Bon Buddies managing director Justin Thomas said: “Our Brain Blasterz range has amassed a huge following of sour sweet lovers in a number of countries, and we can’t wait to see how consumers will react to the new additions to the range.
“At Bon Bon Buddies, licensing makes up around 80% of our business, and has seen us work with global brands such as Universal Studios and Warner Bros. But we’re incredibly proud of our own-brand products and make it a priority to continue investing in our own sweet ranges.
Justin Thomas said that the new products will “excite and delight” consumers.
“Our Brain Blasterz brand has grown from strength to strength since its launch five years ago, and in the last year alone, sales have increased by 40% in the UK, which is a fantastic achievement for a brand that we’ve put our heart and soul into.
“Creating new and exciting products to pique the interests of consumers is always at the top of our list, and we feel that the new additions to the Brain Blasterz range will not only present a new and fresh tongue-tingling experience for loyal fans, but will definitely excite and delight those wanting to try something different.”
Brain Blasterz are available from retailers such as Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Lidl and Wilkinsons. The confectionery is also available from online retailers, including Amazon, and since its launch has expanded across more than 20 countries across Europe and the Middle East, including the UK, the Nordics and the UAE.
