British tea brand Natur Boutique has launched a range of single-ingredient teas with flavours, and functional benefits, inspired by Asia.
They include the first tea for the UK market made using the leafy plat jiaogulan, which is renowned in parts of China and Vietnam for its health properties. Research also suggests that jiaogulan might have medicinal benefits, aiding in a number of areas from memory loss to diabetes.
The other two teas in the range are organic moringa – made from the so-called ‘miracle’ moringa tree, which is renowned as a detoxifier – plus hibiscus. All the teas are packed in 30g boxes, with 20 sachets in each box.
Natur Boutique director Anton Le Khak said: “We’ve worked hard on every aspect of the teas, from the way the plants used are grown through to the branding on the new packs, and hope the care and passion we’ve taken results in a shared enthusiasm from both retailers and consumers.”
The launch of the teas will be supported by a full PR campaign, which will seek to highlight their traditional use, benefits and taste.
Natur Boutique is confident that the trio will follow in the footsteps of the brand’s other teas, including one made from artichoke.
