Filed by Bill Bruce

In the UK, Cadbury has relaunched its Curly Wurly, Fudge, Chomp and Freddo chocolate bars with new ‘retro look’ designs.

The new packs, designed by Slice Design, are inspired by original designs going back to the ‘last century’.

Fudge is the oldest brand having been launched in 1948. Curly Wurly was then introduced in 1971, Freddo in 1973 and finally Chomp in 1989.

Cadbury hopes the nostalgic packaging will do well during the recession, “as they will remind us of the days when life was easier”.
