Cargill to acquire TradeOne grain handling assets
Cargill is enhancing its grain handling capabilities in Eastern Colorado by agreeing to acquire certain assets of TradeOne, a grain storage and merchandising company.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Pending completion of all steps in the acquisition agreement, effective 11 June, Cargill will assume full ownership and operation of the former TradeOne elevator in Cheyenne Wells, which includes two million bushels of storage capacity.
Cargill will originate, store and merchandise grain at the former TradeOne elevators in Lamar, Granada, and Holly, Colorado and in Tribune, Kansas (US).
As part of the agreement, these four elevators will be owned and operated by Northern Ag Service, which will manage daily operations. Cargill will purchase grain at these locations and serve as the primary contact for customers.
