Connell Brothers opens food application facility

Connell Brothers, a marketer and distributor of specialty chemicals and industrial ingredients in Asia-Pacific, has expanded food formulation services for its customers and suppliers in Australia and New Zealand with the opening of a food application facility located in Sydney.

The company's food technicians will be able to assist its customers in the formulation and development of baked goods and desserts with the new facility.

Connell Brothers also has food ingredient application facilities in Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand that service customers in each region. Its food ingredients segment offers a specialised range of ingredients for bakery, beverage, cereals, dietary supplements, confectionary, dairy and small goods applications.

In April 2012, Connell Brothers announced a new partnership with BASF for food ingredient distribution in Australia and New Zealand.
