CPW awarded Leed Platinum certification
Cereal Partners Worldwide (CPW), a joint venture between Nestlé and General Mills, has confirmed that its innovation centre has become the first industrial building in Switzerland to receive Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (Leed) Platinum certification.
The award was given by the US Green Building Council.
Mayank Patel, vice president of research and development, nutrition and regulatory affairs for CPW, said: “This pioneering achievement represents a best in class intersection of sustainability and innovation. CPW is proud to drive innovation in the global breakfast cereal category from Switzerland’s first Leed Platinum facility. This designation reflects General Mills’ and Nestlé’s shared commitment to environmental sustainability.”
The state of the art technical facility located in Orbe, Switzerland, designs and develops new platforms to drive CPW’s future growth, including product innovation, technology, packaging, and nutrition research and development.
