In Spain, Danone has extended the Actimel range with Pro-Vital, which features lactobacillus casei, ginseng and vitamins B9 and B12.
The product is claimed to help promote physical and mental vitality and combat fatigue.
The launch comes after more than a year of research and with a claimed investment of €3m.
Danone CEO Jérôme Boesch stressed that the product is “specifically designed to meet the current needs of adult, urban consumer who seeks help defenses and keep the vitality necessary to face successfully their everyday challenges.
“After two decades in the market, and an undisputed leader in the category, we have decided to once again bring our innovation to consumers.”
