Danone has added a new range of whipped mousses to its Oykos brand of luxury Greek-style yogurts.
Oykos Whip ‘n’ Mix features sumptuous whipped mousse with a compartment of fruit compote – available in strawberry, blueberry and cherry flavours – that consumers can mix into the mousse themselves. Available in packs of four, the new range will be available in major retailers from the end of April with a recommended retail price of £2.49.
It will launch throughout the UK with a £1 million integrated campaign that includes TV, PR, digital and social media from May. A television advertisement will be characteristically cheeky in style and is set on a beautiful Greek beach, where TV personality Peter Andre will be revealed as the brand’s latest ambassador. As part of the launch, Oykos and Andre will be launching a social competition – running across Facebook and Twitter – that will encourage consumers to engage with Oykos Whip ‘n’ Mix in the hope of winning a day with Andre for them and two friends.
The brand previously offered consumers the chance to win a day with Mark Wright, as part of a marketing initiative for its Greek-style yogurt.
Oykos marketing manager Cynthia Finke said: “It was only a matter of time before Oykos mixed things up. The delicious new Whip ‘n’ Mix range offers an indulgent mousse texture and fruity new way to treat yourself and we know consumers are going to love it. We are also excited to introduce Peter Andre to the Oykos family. He has great charm and a warm, fun personality, not to mention being very easy on the eye, which makes him a perfect fit for this campaign.”
