Managing director, Pev Manners, said: “We’re always trying to ring the changes with new flavour combinations and it’s very gratifying to get this sort of endorsement, particularly with the Great Taste Awards, which is the food and drink world’s equivalent to the Baftas.”
The One Star Gold Awards brings the Leicestershire company’s total tally of gongs to around 20 since Pev’s parents started up the business 25 years ago. In the first year, Belvoir produced 500 bottles. Today, that’s grown to eight million as consumers increasingly seek out naturally produced, delicious products.
Bob Farrand of the Guild of Fine Food said: “Lovers of fine food and drink only pay for the best if they’re certain what they’re buying is the best. Every food with a Great Taste Award gold has been independently proven to be just that, and it tastes great too.”
