American dairy farmers’ organisation Dairy Good has produced a series of videos that shine a light on the country’s dairy production sector and help to dispel a few common myths that have plagued the industry.
As part of its The Udder Truth series of informational films, Dairy Good asked Annie Link – a fourth generation dairy farmer from Alto, Michigan – to explain how her family-owned farm takes care of its cows and how it’s working with the local energy company to turn the manure it produces into a green energy source, as part of its daily operation.
Swisslane Dairy Farms currently milks around 2,000 cows.
Dairy Good has set up a website as a platform for its The Udder Truth content as it attempts to separate fact from fiction, and highlight the good that the US dairy sector does for the economy and the nutrition of the American population.
