Dr Pepper Snapple Group has launched a new corporate philanthropy programme, Action Nation.

The programme will focus on giving, and volunteer efforts in support of DPS’s mission to foster physically active, engaged and sustainable communities.

“At DPS, Action is at the heart of everything we do,” said Tina Barry, senior vice president – corporate affairs. “Every DPS employee contributes to our success by taking action to meet the needs of our customers and consumers. Action is also about giving back to our communities. All across North America, DPS employees are taking action to improve the communities in which we live and work.”

Action Nation focuses on four key areas:

  1. Fit and active lifestyles
  2. Environmental initiatives
  3. Community celebrations
  4. Emergency relief.

“By 2015, we plan to contribute a total of 100,000 volunteer hours and attain an annual giving level of $10m in charitable cash donations, with the majority of support focused on fit and active lifestyles, environmental initiatives, community celebrations and emergency relief,” said Barry.
