Empire Bespoke Foods has bolstered its selection of healthy savoury snacks with the UK launch of Bite+ snacks.
Described as ‘a new concept in snacking’, Bite+ comprises multigrain cereal flakes seasoned with sour cream and onion, sea salt and pepper, and falafel. The crunchy snacks are high in fibre to allow consumers to feel fuller for longer, low in fat with less than 3%, and low in saturated fats, too.
Importer Empire Bespoke Foods will position the brand as a non-fried alternative to regular potato crisps. They are free from artificial colours and preservatives, and each pack contains two portions for sharing or for spreading across multiple snacking occasions.
All flavours are available in a 70g share bag, with a recommended retail price of £1.69 each.
Empire Bespoke Foods marketing manager Jodie Cavaye said: “We’re thrilled to be launching these moreish snacks into the UK market. With one in three people estimated [to be] missing a meal every day, innovation within the crisps, nuts and snacks category is being driven by healthier snacking options, which includes new snacking bases such as lentils, beans and peas.
“We feel the UK is more than ready for this delicious, low-fat, cereal-based snack and consumer insight suggests Bite+ will be a popular choice with consumers, retailers and foodservice providers.”
