England’s David James spotted with Jaffa Cakes

England goalkeeper David James shows his love of Jaffa Cakes as he walks out of a shop munching on ‘the footballers’ favourite half-​time snack’.

Of course, David James is in South Africa right now at World Cup 2010, not munching Jaffa Cakes outside a typical UK newsagent.

James is actually the face of a McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes consumer PR campaign. The campaign has seen the top goalkeeper get involved in the launch of a football-​themed on-​pack promotion across McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes, offering consumers the opportunity to win a range of football-​themed prizes.

“I’ve always been a huge fan of McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes and love eating them before a match for a quick energy boost,” said James.
