Artisan crisp producer Fairfields Farm will target a new demographic of consumers when it launches its new low-fat and low-calorie Lentil Lites.
Having turned to vegetable crisps in 2006, the UK-based company is now moving beyond hand-cooked crisps with the development of a healthier alternative for customers looking to enjoy a lighter snack.
Lentil Lites will be available in three flavours – blue cheese, jalapeño chilli and lime, and tomato and herb – with under 99 calories per bag, low fat and gluten-free. All three variants are made with all-natural ingredients and will be packed in 20g foil-fresh bags.
Fairfields Farm Crisps co-founder Laura Strathern said: “We’ve been researching the healthy snack sector for some time and feel the time is right to launch something completely different. Lentil Lites are significantly lower in fat than traditional snacks so they will certainly appeal to the more health-conscious snacker.
“Traditional crisps remain hugely popular and sales of our Fairfields Farm Crisps are going from strength to strength. We’re excited to be launching into a new area and feel confident that our customers will love Lentil Lites as much as we do.”
