A door-to-door delivery service has partnered with breakfast brands in order to offer Londoners breakfast without having to leave the house.
Jinn App allows consumers to place orders through a smartphone app, with food being delivered to their door just 30 minutes later. The service is available from 8:00am and has been launched to coincide with National Breakfast Week, which begins on 24 January.
A survey of more than 1,000 London-based adults revealed that, of the 72% who admitted to skipping breakfast, 62% said it was due to not having time to make it themselves in the morning and 32% said that they often lacked the ingredients to make their meal of choice.
The company previously offered lunchtime and dinner options such as burgers, sushi and pizza – but this is the first time that it has branched out into breakfast items.
Jinn App’s Mario Navarro said: “The whole philosophy of Jinn App is based around delivering convenience to the consumer and taking the hassle away from the supplier – we are proud to be the go-between! There’s no more critical a time than breakfast; the bare cupboards or food preparation are just too much to face first thing, so many of us end up skipping the meal altogether or grabbing something on the go. It is shocking that so many Londoners skip the most important meal and I hope our services can changes this. This will revolutionise the morning rush, allowing Londoners to order something delicious and have it arrive in the time it takes for a shower and a shave, or order it to arrive at work just when they do.
“We also anticipate that we will be busy at the weekends, possibly even busier than during the week, when lazy lie-ins beat venturing out in the cold to battle the queues for a coffee and croissant!”
