Sparkling wine brand Frizzenti is adding a line of high-quality still wines on tap to sit alongside its existing portfolio of sparkling Italian wines.
The producer has said that three varieties of the wine would initially be available: “an aromatic pinot grigio, a bold fruity cabernet merlot, and a refreshing pinot grigio rosé”. The range will then be expanded to include a carefully selected line-up of European wines, the company said.
Frizzenti claimed that the new 20l kegs keep the wine fresher for longer, ensure a perfect serving temperature, result in efficiency savings of up to 25% and are environmentally friendly due to their reusability.
It follows the launch of Frizzenti’s rosato and classico sparkling wine tap dispenser almost two years ago.
Serving wines from kegs provide as many benefits to the stockist as the consumer, as Frizzenti explained: “When you open a bottle, you are oxidising the wine and altering its flavour from how the winery originally intended it to taste. Wine on tap is dispensed using inert gas ensuring the wine remains fresh from the first to the last glass. A better glass of wine for the customer and better margins for you.”
