For the first time in its 14-year history, the 'Save Lids to Save Lives' campaign is expanding beyond Yoplait to include more than 20 General Mills brands, such as Green Giant, Nature Valley, Honey Nut Cheerios, Fiber One, Progresso, Pillsbury and Betty Crocker.
General Mills is teaming up with country music superstar and avid breast cancer awareness supporter Martina McBride to announce the program's expansion, and help raise awareness about this important cause.
More than 20 General Mills brands will carry pink lids on participating products that can be collected and mailed together by 30 June 2013. Codes found on select Yoplait product lids can also be redeemed online.
For each pink lid received, General Mills will donate 10 cents to Susan G Komen for the Cure, up to $2,500,000. General Mills has already donated $500,000 and will donate up to an additional $2,000,000 based on lids submitted, codes entered online and other consumer actions.
