Glanbia Nutritionals achieves food safety certification
Glanbia Nutritionals (Canada) has achieved the Safe Food Quality (SQF) 2000 Code, level 2 certification for its flaxseed plant in Angusville, Manitoba, Canada.
Verified by a third party for its rigorous and credible food safety management system and appropriate regulatory compliance, the facility manufactures high quality flaxseed-based nutritional and functional ingredients for the food and beverage industry.
Matt Healy, site manager, Glanbia Nutritionals (Canada) Angusville, Manitoba, said: “Achieving SQF certification is testament to Glanbia Nutritionals’ ongoing commitment to food safety and quality. It provides a tangible example of our core value to produce safe, high quality food ingredients in compliance with food manufacturing legislation.
“Building on existing quality standards, such as our current Superior Rating with the American Institute of Baking (AIB), this latest achievement highlights our dedication to setting the industry standard for safe, high quality, stable flax ingredients.”
In addition, as the SQF 2000 Code is recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), it highlights that Glanbia Nutritionals (Canada) is meeting GFSI’s benchmark requirements.
