Glorious! Food has strengthened its SkinnyLicious range of world-inspired soup pots with the launch of two new limited-edition flavours.
New Mexican tomato and fire-roasted red pepper flavour launched in all major supermarkets late last month, while Cuban creamed corn will be available exclusively through Waitrose. They are packed in 600g pots with no more than 150 calories each, and less than 2g of fat, and feature a recommended retail price of £1.99.
The new Mexican tomato and fire-roasted red pepper soup boasts only 93 calories per serving, and combines crushed tomato and fire-roasted red peppers with nachos and a dash of fresh lime for an authentic Mexican flavour. Meanwhile, Waitrose’s exclusive Cuban creamed corn variant is a twist on a Cuban classic, with corn, single cream, bushbuck sweet potato and a sprinkling of cayenne pepper to produce this lightly spiced soup.
Glorious! has also launched a new Moroccan spiced chicken flavour into its core range, containing chickpeas, tomatoes, couscous, a medley of fragrant spices used in traditional Moroccan tagines and a dash of apricot. And it will conclude its round of product introductions by making its previously limited-edition Mumbai chickpea and lentil soup available all-year round as part of its permanent core range.
Glorious! Foods brand manager Katie Herron said: “We’re delighted to introduce these brand new flavours into the fresh soup market. Lunchtime options can become lacklustre and boring for people on a diet, but with Glorious! Foods we aim to create an adventurous food experience by transporting the consumer to the beautiful and exciting places the flavours originate from.
“People travel to the edges of the world to try authentic local delicacies and traditional cuisines and our new Mexican and Cuban flavours truly bring this taste home within a delicious soup.
“Glorious! is currently experiencing an exciting growth period through expanding our product offering for consumers and developing our brand and presence in key retailers. Our growth in the market allows us to present consumers with unique flavours inspired by countries including Italy, Thailand, India, USA, Singapore and West Africa.”
