World-inspired soup brand Glorious! has expanded its collection of fresh soups with the launch of a new Super Soups range, packed full of superfoods and nutritional goodness.
Ideal for health-conscious consumers, as well as those wanting something healthy and delicious, Super Soups contain two of the five recommended daily portions of fruit and vegetables, are low in fat and pack a strong flavour. The vegan and vegetarian soups are also gluten-free.
There are four soups in the new range: Brazilian super grain, a zingy, high-in-fibre Brazilian spiced soup brimming with mixed grains and vegetables, coconut milk and a squeeze of lime; Mexican super bean and sweet potato, a smoky sweet potato soup loaded with healthy beans, spiced with paprika and finished with a pinch of ancho chilli; Vietnamese super green, a high-protein, light and fragrant soup packed with spinach, petit pois, broccoli and quinoa with aromatic ginger, lime and lemongrass; plus Indian super spinach and chickpea soup, which is high in fibre and warming, packed with spinach, potato, chickpeas and lentils with a blend of Indian spices.
Claire Roper, brand and category innovation manager for Glorious!, said: “Eating healthy doesn’t need to be boring. Our new Super Soups are bursting with bold flavours and packed full with nutritious ingredients, including spinach, quinoa, chickpeas and ginger, with each portion of soup delivering two of your five a day – perfect for those needing a healthy boost and an ideal substitute for meat.
“Inspired by adventures around the world, our recipes include brilliant global ingredients that are full of fibre and all the types of protein your body needs, such as Brazilian favourite the black turtle bean, and the Indian-inspired toor daal lentils. These are cooked with fabulous, adventurous flavours, such as lemongrass, coriander and even chocolate!”
The new soup pots will be available from Asda and Ocado this July, and Sainsbury’s from 24 August, and will sit alongside the Glorious! Skinnylicious range of chilled and healthy low-fat soups.
