The Bock was a silver medallist in the World Beer Championships and has an ABV of 5.5%. It’s available in a 33cl bottle format.
Offering hints of coffee and cocoa on the palate, the beer provides robust, roasted malt flavours with a silky mouthfeel and a creamy, rich finish.
“While Huber Premium is still growing at a healthy rate, we have been inundated in the last few months from outlets searching for dark lagers and bocks, possibly due to the increased German interest post-World-Cup,” said Peter Karsten. “To this end, we felt the timing was perfect to unleash this absolute beauty on the UK market.”
“With the American craft beer trend continuing to boost interest, we think the Huber Bock has the retro packaging and quality credentials to be a big hit as the colder months beckon.”
Based in Monroe in the US Midwest, the brewery was founded in 1845 by German and Swiss immigrants who specialised in brewing European style beers using traditional German techniques and principles.
Huber is the only brewery in the US to have produced a Bock continuously since 1899 (excluding the years of Prohibition).
