HydraCoach gadget could save lives

A new ‘boys’ toy’ called HydraCoach could help to counter the debilitating and dangerous effects of dehydration.
The HydraCoach is an intelligent water bottle that calculates your hydration requirements and makes sure you achieve your daily water quota. Once you feed in your weight, the bottle calculates your fluid intake requirements and motivates you to drink steadily throughout the day.
The HydraCoach hydration monitor is a small electronic device comprising a low pressure, low volume, liquid flow-sensing mechanism linked to an interactive computer/display module. When the unit is inserted between a hydration source and its drinking port, a complete system is created that provides an accurate measurement of fluid intake for proper hydration.
