Every two years companies from around the world descend on the Excel exhibition centre in London to showcase their newest products and network with buyers, sellers and distributors.
Innovation was definitely on the agenda as I visited two very interesting and highly innovative brands, as Philip Baker of Onion Jo told me all about its quick and easy alternative to peeling, slicing and cooking onions. Over at Just A Splash, Pia Varma explained about the formation of its company and its range of foodie-friendly cooking alcohols, packaged in condiment sized spout pouches.
Later on in the day, I headed over to the Korean pavilion where they talked me through the current state of the Korean food and beverage industry, plus a look at Korea’s most exported products.
