Indian dairy product company Amul is planning to set up a facility in New York, according to press reports.
The report states that The Kaira District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Limited (or Amul Dairy) has signed a 'tripartite agreement' with its parent body Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation and a US-based dairy plant owned by an NRI businessman.
The new facility will be near Waterloo Village in New York State, at an existing dairy plant owned by NRI Piyush Patel.
