At Gulfood 2015, held in Dubai’s World Trade Centre from 8-12 February, Bill Bruce interviewed Viva managing directors Harmi Ahluwalia and Sarb Bhangle about the company’s recent brand refresh.
Viva began its journey in Venice beach, LA, US. Amongst the sugary, artificially coloured drink options in the region, the brand’s founders discovered a product category which had just started to gain some traction; functional health drinks. This revelation of flavour, goodness and refreshment led to the creation of the Viva brand, which began producing its own functional health drinks in the UK, in order to take on the sugary soft drink giants.
Viva is currently available in Pineapple & Mangosteen, Watermelon & Raspberry, Mint & Lemon and White Peach & Melon flavours. The brand’s beverages are described as ‘the perfect blend of real fruit juice, the finest botanicals and pure filtered water’, on the company’s official website.
