Is this the world’s strongest beer?

Filed by Shaun Weston

According to the official BrewDog blog, the world’s strongest beer is Tactical Nuclear Penguin with an ABV of 32%.

The blog says that, of the 500 330ml bottles released, 250 will be available for £30 with a further 250 available for £250 – the latter will include a share in the BrewDog company as part of its ‘Equity for Punks’ campaign that aims to raise £2.3m to build an eco-friendly, carbon-neutral brewery in Aberdeen.

The previous record-holder for ‘the world’s strongest beer’ title was Germany’s Schorsch Braer at 31% ABV, according to the blog.
