Jacob’s Creek has launched a new premium sparkling wine in Australia, responding to the trend of consumers enjoying more prosecco, spritz and aperitif drinks throughout the year.
Called Jacob’s Creek Prosecco Spritz, the wine has flavours of blood oranges, sweet citrus and botanicals such as cinchona and liquorish root extract.
The wine brand claims that prosecco sales in Australia have increased by over 180% in the last three years.
Available in a 750ml bottle with an ABV of 8.5%, the drink is best served over ice with a slice ruby red grapefruit.
Jacob’s Creek sparkling winemaker Trina Smith said: “Our winemakers spent a lot of time perfecting the right mix of ingredients to best balance our prosecco and zesty sweet blood oranges.
“Jacob’s Creek has a rich and impressive history of producing high quality sparkling wine since 1976. All of our prosecco is grown and sourced Australia, and Jacob’s Creek Prosecco Spritz is an example of our love and passion for sparkling winemaking, combined with a progressive spirit to create something new and exciting for consumers.”
The beverage is now available with a recommended retail price of AUD 19.99 ($15.86).
