Judging panel announced for FoodBev.com Awards

The judging panel for the inaugural FoodBev.com Awards, which will take place online, has been finalised and includes an expert panel of specialists from the food & beverage industry and beyond.

Celebrating the spirit of innovation in the F&B industry since September 2010, the FoodBev.com Awards aims to congratulate all those companies and people who have forged ahead with creativity and enthusiasm during the tough economic conditions.

The judging panel

  • Shaun Weston – managing editor, FoodBev.com
  • Josh Epstein – vice president of marketing, Acme Packet
  • Dan Oliver – editor-​in-​chief, .net magazine
  • Dan Bruce – brand manager, Coles Brands
  • James Tonkin – president and owner, HealthyBrandBuilders & TonkinConsulting
  • Chris Lee – event director, IIR (Informa Exhibitions)
  • Richard Ferguson – director, Sensei UKE
  • Sarah Mackernan – product marketing manager, Google.
  • Chairman of the judges is Bill Bruce, group editorial director, FoodBev Media.

  • Best brand redesign
  • Best functional drink
  • Best functional food
  • Best innovator
  • Best design agency
  • Best social media campaign
  • Best website.

“Although the fundamentals of good business practice haven’t changed much, the business landscape definitely has,” said head judge Shaun Weston, managing editor of FoodBev.com. “These awards not only celebrate the usual suspects when it comes to NPD and marketing, it also celebrates those creative people who help their clients reach a target audience, be that with good branding, good design or good social interaction.

“We encourage anyone who has influenced the food & beverage industry with new products or new creative marketing campaigns to come forward for recognition from their peers. This awards scheme is for you.”
