Lactalis and Nestlé have launched a new ‘indulgent’ mousse in a shareable pot as part of its fresh dairy joint venture in the UK.
Aero Heavenly offers a premium mousse experience amid ‘significant growth’ in consumer interest in after-dinner sharing treats. It follows the launch earlier this week of a new range of shareable mousses from Müller.
Rolling out across the trade from this month, Aero Heavenly is available in two flavours – milk chocolate and salted caramel – with three servings per pot. It combines mousse with swirls of caramel sauce and chopped nuts.
Francois Boulard, senior brand manager for Lactalis Nestlé Chilled Dairy, said: “The evening sharing occasion is becoming hugely popular as more consumers look to treat themselves after dinner. We want to ensure our varied product range responds to this need and brings something truly revolutionary to the chilled desserts aisle. There is a clear gap in the market for a new and exciting treat for the evening occasion – one which we aim to fill with Aero Heavenly.
“With its unique combination of ingredients, we hope this new offering will strengthen our current chilled desserts portfolio and add tremendous value to the category as a whole, offering truly indulgent taste satisfaction for shoppers.”
Aero Heavenly will be available in the chilled dairy aisles of UK supermarkets this spring, with a recommended retail price of £1.79 for a 170g pot.
Lactalis Nestlé promised that the launch would be ‘bolstered by significant marketing support’.
