Linkx Systems introduces high-capacity shrink-wrapper

Filed by Shaun Weston

With a handling capacity of up to 300 cartons a minute – which is as much as 50% more than typical machines with similar functionality – the new Matrix side-feed collating and shrink-wrapping machine from Linkx Systems is ideally suited for use in today’s demanding, high-volume production environments.

Not only does the high capacity of the machine make it easier for users to maximise plant productivity, it also means that, in many applications, only one Matrix machine is needed to handle work that would require two machines of more conventional design.

Servo drives, which are used for all major functions, are the key to the exceptional performance and versatility of the Linkx Systems Matrix collator/shrink-wrapper. A 10-axis precision servo system means that all motions are reliably and accurately controlled, giving total repeatability, even when the machine is operating at full throughput.

Suitable for use with cartons from 225x180x60mm to 130x90x25mm, the Matrix machine features modular construction, which means that it can easily be configured to suit the user’s precise needs.
