Messe München and Messe Düsseldorf join forces

In an announcement made at Drinktec this morning, Messe München and Messe Düsseldorf spoke of pooling their know-how for the packaging industry in one of the most important growth markets.
Drink Technology India and International PackTech India are being held together in future. The joint venture (18-20 November 2010) is in the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. Messe München and Messe Düsseldorf have signed a cooperation agreement about this as the organisers of the two trade fairs.
The two companies are convinced that the cooperation will create a major joint platform for packaging solutions. The overall objective of the cooperation is the successful establishment of an Indian trading platform for customers from the packaging, beverage and liquid food industries.
“We felt that it was time to amplify our services to the industries, to make use of synergies to offer those interested in both fields,” said Erhard Wienkamp, division director, Messe Düsseldorf.
