Milk Link cheese makers continued their successful run of show awards at the Royal Highland Show (UK) this year.

Highlights included Llandyrnog Creamery’s Mature Cheddar being named the Supreme Champion whilst Lockerbie Creamery’s unsalted butter was named Reserve Champion, for a second year running.

Of the 32 awards won in total, four were special category awards, four were gold awards, 12 were silvers and 12 bronze.

The Llandyrnog Creamery in Wales triumphed with three special category awards for its mature cheddar, claiming top awards for Best Cheddar Exhibit, Best Non-Scottish Cheese and Champion Cheese.

Neil Kennedy, chief executive of Milk Link said, “Winning Supreme Champion and Reserve Champion at Royal Highland is a great honour and is testament to the skills of our dedicated cheese makers.

"Their hard work, combined with using only the best ingredients for our butter and cheeses is the reason we can be so proud of our results at both these fantastic shows this week.”
