Milk Link wins awards at Royal Bath & West Show

This includes seven gold prizes and three trophies:

• The Black Diamond Challenge Trophy for the best film-​wrapped English Cheddar block.
• The Chris Braund Memorial Trophy for the best prepared block cheese
• The Bath & West Trophy for the best entry in the butter classes.

The Show, held at the end of May, saw Milk Link scoop gold awards for three out of four of its creameries:

• Taw Valley Creamery in North Tawton, Devon, won three gold awards in the Cheddar (mature), Cheddar (mild) and Reduced Fat Cheese categories.
• Lockerbie Creamery in Scotland also won three gold awards in the butter categories (salted creamery butter, unsalted creamery butter and salted butter).
• Tuxford and Tebbutt Creamery in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, won gold for its Blue Shropshire cheese in the ‘one blue cheese’ category.
