The latest appointments and movements in the food and beverage industry for May 2011.

The Middleby Corporation names Karl Doyon president of Middleby Canada. He will be responsible for all of the Middleby brands in the Canadian territories.

Cargill names Sarena Lin as corporate vice president, strategy and business development. Lin succeeds Jim Haymaker, who will retire after 38 years of service to the company.

Mia’s Kitchen has appointed Brendan Kelley to the post of national sales manager.

Beatriz Perez will become will become chief sustainability officer for The Coca-​Cola Company, effective 1 July.

J Sainsbury plc has announced that Val Gooding, non-​executive director, will stand down from the board at the company’s AGM on 13 July 2011.

Ball Corporation has announced that David A Westerlund, executive vice president, administration, and corporate secretary, will retire later this year.
