Nestlé says the launch “will change the traditional peanut butter cup forever”.
Nestlé’s Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups will still have a creamy smooth peanut butter centre and milk chocolate coating, but also a little dose of Butterfinger for crunch.
Reese’s is one of the top three chocolate candies in the United States, with sales over $420 million a year. Hershey says its make enough peanut butter cups in one year for every person in the US, Japan, Europe, Australia, China, Africa and India to enjoy one.
Nestlé is backing the launch with an advert during Super Bowl XLVIII.
