Nestlé Mexico has expanded its range of popular Coffee Mate coffee creamers in aseptic carton packs to include new volumes.
The creamers were originally sold as a powder until Nestlé decided to release a liquid variant available in 500ml cartons, supplied by SIG Combibloc. The range was initially released in hazelnut and vanilla flavours, but now covers ten different flavours in total including caramel, chai latte and cinnamon.
Nestlé has now opted to take advantage of the volume flexibility of SIG Combibloc’s filling machines and offer the products in two volumes that can be filled on a single filling machine, the carton packaging manufacturer revealed.
“The benefits of a carton pack are plain to see for consumers,” SIG said. “The carton pack is easy to transport and simple to use. The screw cap means the pack can be easily reclosed. Moreover, before its first use the product can be stored without refrigeration for a prolonged period.”
A majority of Mexican consumers drink their coffee with milk, and, coupled with Coffee Mate’s lactose-free credentials that opens the category up to consumers who would normally be intolerant towards coffee creamers, this goes some way to explaining the brand’s continuing success.
