From today, Burger King will offer a new menu at its UK restaurants inspired by European ingredients, featuring a new line-up of burgers, sides and desserts.
The Eurotrip range features three new burgers, two new sides, one hot and one cold dessert, plus a three-flavour range of accompanying lattes. It draws inspiration from as far afield as Spain, the Netherlands and Italy and the menu’s launch will be supported by in-store and digital activations, the fast food giant said.
Burger King’s Eurotrip offerings:
Spanish Tendercrisp: A Tendercrisp patty topped with salsa brava, edam cheese and crispy onions, as well as tomatoes, lettuce and mayonnaise.
Crunchy Cheese Whopper: Whopper and crunchy cheese patties topped with bacon, onions, tomatoes, lettuce and ketchup.
Amsterdam Steakhouse: A Whopper patty topped with edam cheese, bacon, onion rings and barbecue sauce, as well as the standard salad ingredients.
All burgers will retail with a recommended price point of £4.99 for an individual burger of £6.69 as part of a meal, and will be available until 17 November. UK franchises will also offer breaded mozzarella sticks – available for £1.99 for four pieces or £2.89 for six pieces – as well as chicken fries to accompany.
And the Eurotrip menu is topped off by sweet offerings including apple pie sticks, consisting of a sweet apple pie filling encased in a warm and crisp pastry; King Fusion soft-serve vanilla ice cream topped with either Toffee Crisp or Bounty flavours; plus caramel-, vanilla- and mocha-flavoured lattes in regular or large formats.
The new range will bring a taste of the continent to European palates, according to Burger King’s marketing director for Northern Europe, Russia and Africa.
Matthew Bresnahan said: “Burger King is firmly committed to delivering innovative, great-tasting food at affordable prices to all of our customers. A lot of people will have been touring Europe over the summer, and we wanted to keep the holiday flavour going a little while longer for our guests with this new Eurotrip line up.”
