Organic Buko is seeking to tap into the UK’s £500m jam and spreads market with the release of a new range of organic coconut jams.
Described as “the first ‘organic’ coconut jam offering in the UK”, the jams are available with sea salt and chocolate flavours – as well as the original version, which features a velvety caramel-like taste and texture that positions it as an ideal alternative to traditional spreads.
They will also seek to attract the attention of consumers with a number of environmental credentials: as well as being registered with the Soil Association, the brand has teamed up with preservation group Cuipo to help save 1 square metre of rainforest for every jar of jam that it sells. Consumers can enter a code found on the side of each jar on Cuipo’s website to found out the location of the piece of rainforest they’ve saved.
“The jams are bound to ride on the wave created by coconut oil and water,” a brand spokesperson said, “and are ‘one to watch’ in 2016.”Organic Buko is seeking to tap into the UK’s £500m jam and spreads market with the release of a new range of organic coconut jams.
