Organic status for land from which Ty Nant is sourced

Ty Nant Spring Water Ltd has announced that the organic status of its land has been made official. This summer, the company was awarded the coveted Soil Association Organic Certification.

Ty Nant is one of only a few water companies in the UK to achieve Soil Association certification. Ty Nant has also announced an ambitious tree-replanting programme to turn an additional 200 acres of land acquired in 2004 from acidic pine forest into indigenous broadleaf woodland. The new woods form an important part of the 300 acres owned by the company.

David Relph, general manager sales & marketing, said: “For 20 years, since inception, we’ve worked to eco-friendly and organic principles. We are fiercely loyal to the land from which our water is sourced. We respect the natural world and in turn it rewards us with an award-winning water that is sold in some of the finest hotels and restaurants. We cared for the environment long before it was fashionable or a requirement. It just seemed the right way to do business.”
