PAI Partners considers selling Yoplait stake

French private equity firm PAI Partners is apparently considering selling its 50% stake in yogurt maker Yoplait.
The French yogurt maker is valued at €1–1.2bn. The other half of the company is held by French milk cooperative Sodiaal, which may also be prepared to sell a portion of its stake to reduce debt accrued in the acquisition of cheese group Entremont.
Private equity firms AXA Private Equity, BC Partners and Permira are rumoured to be interested, as well as food companies Arla Foods, Nestlé and General Mills (which distributes Yoplait products in the US).
