Parmalat sells 51% of Parmalat Centroamerica

Parmalat has announced that its subsidiary Parmalat Nicaragua SA has sold 51% of Parmalat Centromerica SA to Productos Lacteos Centroamericanos SA.
The disposal took place for a consideration of US$800,000. Furthermore, Parmalat Centroamerica SA signed a ‘license agreement’ that will allow Parmalat Group to cash in a total amount of $400,000 in the first five years of contract.
The net sales of Parmalat Centroamerica SA for 2008 amounted to approximately €25m, with an Ebitda of about €400,000 and a loss equal to €1.2m; the net financial debt as at 31 December 2008, was of about €4.5m.
