Meat snack brand Peperami has announced a ‘six-figure marketing campaign’ to promote the Tex-Mex flavour it launched last year, which will include a sponsorship and branded partnership deal with TV channel Comedy Central UK.
Running until next month, the brand will sponsor a number of late-night programmes on Comedy Central UK and Comedy Central Extra, as well as the whole of the channels’ stand-up programming.
Aimed at increasing awareness and driving sales of Peperami Tex-Mex, as well as the new Tex-Mex snack pack format, the campaign will also include a dedicated advertising campaign and the return of Peperami’s Pork Tour sampling campaign. Peperami idents will appear before and after each programme, as well as during ad breaks, while Peperami has worked with Comedy Central to create an advert that celebrates the partnership and gives consumers the chance to win a trip to New York City.
Peperami will simultaneously launch a campaign with spots running on ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and Sky for three weeks from the middle of January.
Peperami senior marketing manager Pavan Chandra said: “Our Tex-Mex flavour and Snack Packs were exceptionally well received when it launched last year, and we’re looking to make even more of an impact in 2017. The Comedy Central UK sponsorship and branded partnership is the perfect fit for our target audience of 16-34 year old males, as is our humorous ad campaign.”
