Pepsi renamed Pecsi in Argentina
Filed by Shaun Weston
Advertising Age has reported that Pepsi has launched a name-changing campaign in Argentina, changing the second ‘P’ of Pepsi to a ‘C’, as it’s easier to pronounce in Spanish, especially with the local Argentine accent.

Apparently, 25% of the population already says Pecsi instead of Pepsi. The campaign also includes a digital launch of the ‘Pecsipedia’ – a free content wiki that already contains 1,300 words of Argentine slang and a few neologisms.
